FREE ENTRY – EVERY TUESDAY
Music lovers unite at The Toff for a weekly celebration of Melbourne’s rich and dynamic live music scene. A night dedicated to connection, improvisation, and the city’s vibrant jazz community.
Doors open from 6pm on the Carriage Side for Happy Hour. Ease into the evening with $15 cocktails and $9 pints from 6–8pm.
From 10pm, Antwin & Friends take over the Carriage Side with a blend of soul, disco house and Arabic house, setting the tone before the band take to the stage.
From 11:30pm, the Stage Side comes alive with fiery improvisation led by resident band Melbourne Improv Collective. Featuring players from Monash, VCA, Box Hill and RMIT alongside touring artists, each week brings together some of Melbourne’s most exciting musicians for a completely unique performance.
The band features Jesse Chin Quan (bass), Julian Steel (drums), Anthony Farrugia (guitar), Lewis Hosie and Martin Pang (keys/synths), Felix Meredith (trumpet), Sakiko Goto (alto sax) and Lachie Daff (tenor sax), creating a groove-driven sound that moves effortlessly between deep jazz, funk, soul and late-night improvisation.
Expect a rotating lineup of guest vocalists each week, with regular appearances from Tyla Moonchild, Shantael Raphael, Ed Moon and Tanya George, alongside surprise special guests. Vocalists, rappers, instrumentalists, dancers, visual artists and producers are all invited to jump in and shape the night.
Every week is different—raw, collaborative and completely unrepeatable.
