TOFF TUESDAYS: LIVE JAZZ

FREE ENTRY – EVERY TUESDAY 

Music lovers unite at The Toff for a weekly celebration of Melbourne’s rich and dynamic live music scene. A night dedicated to connection, improvisation, and the city’s vibrant jazz community.

Doors open from 6pm on the CARRIAGE SIDE for cocktails and bar snacks. Ease into the evening with Happy Hour from 6–8pm, featuring $15 cocktails and $9 pints.

From 9pm, Melbourne selector DJ Colette ignites the Carriage, setting the tone before the night shifts into live performance.

From 11.30pm, the STAGE SIDE comes alive with fiery improvisation from a rotating lineup of Melbourne’s finest musicians—featuring players from Monash, VCA, Box Hill, and RMIT alongside touring artists. Vocalists, rappers, dancers, visual artists, and producers are all invited to step in and shape the night.

The live band brings together some of the scene’s most exciting players: Jesse Chin Quan (bass), Julian Steel (drums), and Anthony Farrugia (guitar) lock in a groove-heavy rhythm section, while Lewis Hosie and Martin Pang build rich keys and synth textures. Felix Meredith (trumpet), Sakiko Goto (alto sax), and Lachie Daff (tenor sax) drive the horns with power and finesse—creating a sound that moves from deep, late-night jazz into high-energy club territory.

Expect a rotating roster of standout vocalists, with regular appearances from Tyla Moonchild and Shantael Raphael.
