Formed on Discord in 2023, atmospheric indie rock band PRYVT launched their career with a highly unusual feat, amassing more than 20 million streams, landing on Spotify’s Viral 50 charts in several countries, and booking headline slots at venerated venues like LA’s Teragram Ballroom and Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, all before the members had ever even met in person.

While PRYVT’s whirlwind rise may have happened in the blink of an eye, the band’s captivating debut, &Scene, is a measured and deliberate affair. The music is lush and dreamy, built on hazy, reverb-soaked guitars and hypnotic, laidback grooves, and the production is mesmerizing to match, with Hanuel’s breathy, intimate vocals always front and center in the mix.
