Made up of Naarm/Melbourne selectors @paulllys and @oldshane, Garçon first sparked the idea for Is That Garage? during a late-night conversation at the Let Them Eat Cake afterparty in 2024.

Just four months later, that idea became reality: Is That Garage? launched to a sold-out debut and has since grown into a recurring home for UKG, Speed Garage, and 2-Step in the city. As founders and curators, Garçon continue to set the standard for the night’s energy and sound.

Recently, they’ve been making waves with standout garage sets that fuse swung rhythms, soulful grooves, and bass-heavy floor-shakers.

At Vol 9, with doors from 10PM, Garçon will be on opening duties from 11PM, setting the tone for another night of forward-thinking club sounds.
